Karen Sawyer

Karen’s musical roots were established in Bath’s alternative music scene, starting with art college band The Flying Teatrays in 1988. In the early 90s she joined folk-rockers The Ancient Ones (on lead vocals and penny whistle); their track Blindfold was released on the complilation vinyl entitled Get Orf Moi Larnd (Scumbag Records, 1991) and they were the final act to play at Hawkwind’s 12 Hours of Psychedelic Madness at Brixton Academy in 1992. A selection of Karen’s favourite musical collaborations over the years can be heard HERE.
